Monthly Archives: August 2015
This month is one of those months where I get three paycheques. It is nice when that happens because I keep my budget for only two of them which means I basically have an extra cheque to do whatever it is that I want. Normally a large chunk of it goes towards bills but I am surprisingly all caught up on them at the moment. I don’t owe any friends or family any money either which isn’t always the case. It is definitely a nice feeling to have even though I’ll probably put most of it away in savings.
I am however going to buy myself at least one nice thing. I have a little balcony out front that needs some attention in the way of a nice metal garden furniture set. I would like to start spending more time out there especially after work when I have to unwind and de-stress myself. I work in a very fast paced and stressful environment and when I get home I am usually wiped out. I like to read so having a spot outside in the fresh air would be great. I’ll have to ask my Mum where she got her metal garden furniture because I really like their set.
I should actually call her tonight as it has been a few days since we last talked and she is probably worried. She would probably call me every night of the week but she doesn’t like to intrude and she knows about my stressful job of course. Maybe I’ll ask her if I can go over there Friday night for dinner. A nice home cooked meal is always nice and it has been awhile since I have been over to visit. I’m sure she will have no objections with that as her and my Dad rarely go out anymore. He has some health issues that make going out a real chore these days. I’m sure me visiting will make him happy too. Doing things with him should be amazing.
I also want to take a little bit of that money and get my hair professionally cut. To save money I have been cutting it myself the last couple of months. I do an ok job at it but I think it is time for somebody that really knows what they are doing to have their turn. I want and need a new look anyways and I certainly can’t do that myself.
