The Baricelli Inn was designed and built in 1896 by Dutch
architect John Grant and served as his residence until he
sold the mansion to Dr. and Madame Giovanni Baricelli, both
accomplished and prominent civic leaders of the University Circle community.
The Minnillo family purchased the mansion from the Baricelli
estate in 1981 and began a four-year period of major renovations
and restoration of the building. In December of 1985 the
Minnillo’s welcomed their first dinner guests to what has since
become an internationally recognized restaurant lead by Chef/Owner Paul Minnillo.
